These are the rules of officially endorsed Sales areas in both Inworldz and Secondlife, any questions contact your oYo Manager in world.

Officially Endorsed oYo Sales Areas.

oYo are proud to support and work with officially endorsed oYo Sales Areas. To qualify as an oYo Endorsed Sales Area you will need to apply for an application form directly from the oYo Manager in world. To be accepted you must have read through and understood and applied where needed the below advice & requirements.

Before applying for an endorsement there are a couple of requirements that must be met. You will:

  • Do your best to promote and maintain a good active market and encourage all breeders.
  • Have one owner who is at least 90 days old.
  • Have been open for 3 weeks before you make an application.
  • Submit a landmark and logo with your application

As an Official oYo Sales Area we will:

  • Feature you on the website and in all documentation for auction houses including ad boards.
  • Add you to the Official Group. (OEOSA – Official Endorsed oYo Sales (Area) Association).
  • Suggest you use the group to communicate with other Sales Area owners for future promotions or issues you’ve encountered.
  • Provide you with continued support as and when required.
  • From time to time offer something for Raffles or Giveaways
  • Offer support when possible for any events linked to oYo, such as charity or special events.

As an official oYo Auction House you will:

  • Display your certificate and use the oYo logo when needed.
  • Have your own group for the sales area where your patrons can advertise their breedables
  • Carry one line (at least) of affiliate vendors of your choice.
  • Notify the oYo Manager if you change location and send a new landmark over so changes can be made to all information.
  • If you decide to close your sales area please notify the oYo Manager of your closing date.
  • Display your own rules clearly for your patrons to access including advertising rules should you have any.
  • Not approach or poach breeders offering them a better deal on stall rentals than what they are currently paying.

As an official oYo Auction House we recommend:

  • Your theme is sim rating appropriate
  • You display any oYo sales graphics/promotional material sent in the OEOSA group
  • You avoid ‘Flashsales’ at below market prices when trying to maintain a strong market
  • You avoid conflict with other sales area owners and discuss any issues like adults. No Drama.
  • When setting up stall rental prices we recommend you look at current sales areas and set pricing to a similar standard.

What to do if my application is not successful:

If you are unsuccessful details of why will be outlined for you and if you feel inclined to follow the advice given you can submit a request for a reconsideration to the oYo Manager, outlining what, if anything, you have altered. Following that a decision will be reached within 2 weeks. If needed you can appeal 3 times before we will no longer consider your appeal and will request that you wait 4 weeks before submitting a new application.

Please Note: In extreme cases oYo will revoke the right of an endorsed auction house in the event of failure to follow the requirements and lack of understanding for the recommendations set out. This will become public knowledge and is not something we want to encounter so please be aware.

To qualify as an oYo Endorsed Auction House you will need to apply for an application form directly from the oYo Manager in world.   • Have 4 weeks of auctions at your current location with at least one auction per week over this time.
  • Submit a landmark and logo with your application.

As an Official oYo Auction House we will:

  • Feature you on the website and in all documentation for auction houses including ad boards.
  • Add you to the Official Group. (OOAA – Official oYo Auction Association).
  • Suggest you use the group to get any cover you may need for auctioneers.
  • Provide you with continued support as and when required.
  • From time to time offer something for Raffles or Giveaways
  • Offer support when possible for any events linked to oYo, such as charity auctions or special events.

As an official oYo Auction House you will:

  • Display your certificate at all times in your auction house.
  • Ensure any Auctioneer you have holds an oYo Auctioneers Certificate and displays this within your auction house when working for you.
  • Check the OOAA group for any notices and any advertising graphics you may be asked to display for special events or launches.
  • Have your own group for the Auction House where you can advise patrons of any auction changes.
  • Clearly display your unique Auction House Rules for patrons to have easy access to. These should be written in plain English for easy translation if needed.
  • Understand the advice set out by oYo and maintain these standards when setting your own Auction House Rules and Guidelines.
  • Ensure you check your chat range when setting or altering the lay out of your auction house.
  • Set a minimum start price per stall or bundle/live depending on your location, of at least 500, this can be increased in your own Auction House rules but must NOT fall below 500. (IW per stall/SL per Bundle or Live).
  • Notify your patrons as soon as possible if you need to cancel an auction. If you need to re-arrange an auction for another day, please ensure this does not conflict with a scheduled endorsed auction.
  • Oversee final sales are to the last highest bidder in local chat before the auctioneer calls sold on the auction system and the word ‘sold’ appears in local. Any bids after this time are not valid. The auctioneer’s decision is final.
  • Advise patrons if a stall is unsold by the auctioneer but a patron then buys the stall, the seller is not required to pay the 10% but they may if they wish.
  • Not allow price dropping on any oYo stalls. The start price entered by the seller prior to the start of the auction must not be lower than the end sale price.
  • Ensure your time slot does not clash with an already endorsed auction slot.
  • Notify the oYo Manager if you relocate and provide a new Landmark.
  • Please notify the oYo Manager if you decide to close your auction house or stop your auctions so all information can be updated.
  • As an official oYo Auction House we recommend:
  • You hold at least one auction per week.
  • Your theme of the land should be sim rate appropriate.
  • You clearly display how patrons are to display their stalls, submit their comments, start prices and where applicable note cards.
  • All stalls should be numbered clearly and you should have the ability to cover a minimum of 10 stalls, whether they are individual stalls or reused stalls, and you should be mindful of other time slots when deciding on the total stalls you will offer.
  • 2 hours maximum for one auction.
  • Using a maximum of 2 auctioneers per auction with the exception of charity auctions.
  • You may wish to consider posting your sales in your group for your patrons to use as a point of reference.
  • You set your own stall price (if applicable) and ensure that is clear to all patrons.
  • 10% of the final sales price is paid to the auction house.
  • You agree payment with your auctioneer/s in advance.
  • All microphones apart from the auctioneers are off and bids are typed into local chat.
  • All auctions use a 3 call system with the start price entered into local chat.
  • No late entries are added once the auction starts.
  • Animals are not set for sale on auction stalls.
  • Sick animals are not auctioned and the seller is advised to apply meds or remove the animals.
  • You promote other auctions for the week and support each other.
