Flat Horse Racing

oYo will hold official racing for each grade of horses once a month. The racing calendar is displayed below with dates added for every month.

The racing will be made up of a 6 monthly racing league with an overall cash prize for the winner plus runners up AND every race will be awarded with a small cash prize and an oYo prize plus trophies.

Horse Grades:

There are 5 different Grades of Horses which depends on their training.

Grade E - Horses with training points of 0 - 20

Grade D - Horses with training points of 21-40

Grade C - Horses with training points of 41-60

Grade B - Horses with training points of 61-80

Grade A - Horses with training points of 81-100

A jockey may enter a horse in each grade. One only per avatar.

All horses will be checked before being allowed to race. You will be disqualified if you try and swap your horse after its been checked for that race. A horse can be entered at any point in its training as long as it falls under the correct bracket. For example a horse with a training point of 55 would fall under a Grade C race.

Registering for racing:

Jockeys are required to register for racing by simply dropping a notecard into the mailbox located at the oYo reception area for the grade race they wish to enter.

The notecard should state the jockeys name, the name of the horse plus the horses speed. You should make sure you put the notecard in the correct mailbox, above each mailbox it will state which grade of racing that is for. All jockeys should be registered for the race 2 hours before the race time. If you are not registered you will not be permitted to race.

How the racing works:

Jockeys will be required to rezz their horse at the starting gates behind the line for inspection BEFORE they mount their horses 5 minutes before the race time.

The race official will then instruct all jockeys to mount their horses once he/she is happy with the inspection. To mount a horse simply right click and select 'ride' from the options.

Once the race official is happy that everyone is on their horse the jockeys will be instructed to put their horses into 'race mode'. To do this press the page down button.

The official will ask everyone to confirm they are in race mode before the race can start.

The official will count down and everyone must be able to hear so they can know when to start racing.

The official will tell you how many laps you must complete for each race.

While racing it is likely that from time to time you will collide with another jockey. If you as deemed to deliberately bump or push another rider you may be disqualified. The racing is open to everyone to enter.

The race official will announce the winners once everyone has crossed the finishing line. This is based on peoples times in completing the race as times are recorded from crossing the start line to crossing the finishing line.

Racing awards:

1st Place - Trophy, 500 izzies and a race pack

2nd Place - Trophy 350 izzies and a race pack

3rd Place - Trophy 150 izzies and a race pack.
